[Opinions] It's a state. (m)
in reply to a message by Emily
It's the name of a US State is the South, and so it's a place name. Don't worry, that doesn't automatically make me hate it. There are some place names that are guilty pleasures of mine, like Dakota and Montana. Nevada too!But Tennessee doesn't sound very good as a name, in my opinion. Trendy, because of the ee's (though that is the legitimate spelling), and trendy because it is a place name. I don't like it, personally.

I agreeEven though I would never use them myself because I couldnt bring myself to (I loathe word, season, state, place, and all other such names). However, I do have a few guilty pleasures I like to see on other people children (the ones you mentioned - Dakota, Montana and Nevada). Tennessee is not really one of them, although it could be worse. I think I am not loathing it because a song I like "For a girl called Tennessee"...anyway, I dont loathe it, but I also dont really like it either~~Kris~~

Oh, okay!I wasn't sure, hehe.I think I just don't like it because I don't especially like the sound, or the ee's. The fact that it's a state doens't bother me. But when i hear it, I do think of primarily a state, while with Dakota, I think of an actress!

Lol, yeah. I think part of my attraction towards it is because one of my favorite bands, Sugarland, has a song called Tennessee, which is about a girl called Tennessee, lol.
