[Opinions] Justine

I love Justine and was just thinking (no pun intended) of doing a thread on the name to see what everyone else thought.
It's definitely not too masculine. I picture an individualist, someone who marches to the beat of her own drummer, someone artsy, intelligent.

What image does Justine evoke?
Well ... a thin, maybe outdoorsy or kind of rough woman. Not very feminine. She has a deep, throaty voice. She is not young -- I can't picture this name on a girl or young woman.

It's definitely growing on me. I used to find it a bit too rough, but now I'm rather liking it. I think it's a very strong, cool, off-beat name.
I think of Meggie's daughter in the Thornbirds and also Theo's longtime girlfriend on the Cosby Show. I like the name, especially as a mn. It is underused without being out-there.
Edited to add that I am surprised that this name was fairly popular in the early 1990s!

I dont see it as masculine...it is the feminine form of Justin, isnt it? Anyway, I knew a very preppy girl in junior high with this name, she was dating my neighbor. I didnt think much of her name, but when she started dating another guy in school as well...the name went down even more. I cant get her picture out of my head.
