Help[Opinions] Eugene?
Yes, I know. It's very, very nerdy/old man. It reminds you of Eugene Levy. And his eyebrows. But I've got a thing for it. It's the name of a bunch of really wonderful people (Eugene O'Neill, Eugene Hutz, Eugène Delacroix, Eugene Onegin, Gene Kelly...) and the nickname Gene is really snazzy. WDYT? And any potential combos? (I like unexpected names with a history, if that gives you any idea)

My internet connection sucks, so after a long post, I lost it all.
Anyway, long story short: I had a great-uncle who passed away almost 7 years ago named Eugene nn Gene. He was one of the greatest men I have ever met. Eugene doesnt hold my attention on its own, but that connection alone makes me put it at the top of almost any list. Eugene may sound a little old-man-ish, but with the nn Gene, I personally love it. I would use it for my first born in a heartbeat, but my boyfriend doesnt like it at all...so the only way I can fight him on it is if its around his birthday or death (maybe I'll just make myself pregnant so nine months later is perfect timing).
Anyway, if you are worried about the name being old-man-ish, you could pair it with something more trendy, popular today. Otherwise, there are a lot of mn possiblities. I am pretty horrible with combos usually but here is what popped into mind:

Jim Carrey's middle name is Eugene--to keep him humble, ha. And I would like to point out that I first think of Eugene O'Neill, not Eugene Levy, thank you very much. ;) (I then think of the accident-prone, nerdy Eugene of Hey Arnold!, but that's beside the point, lol.)
Eugene's a fine name. Much better than Eugenia, which sounds awfully like "eugenics." I prefer just Gene to Eugene, but both are attractive enough and I'd love to see them on someone else's kid.

Sorry, I think its awful. It's a family members middle name, and he's been embarrassed by it for as long as I can remember.
