[Opinions] Jenny, Jennifer, Guinevere and Genevieve
Jenny and Jennifer have nameday in Sweden today. There are more women named Jenny (47.245) than Jennifer (10.636) in Sweden. Jenny is an older name, formerly used as a nn for Johanna.Guinevere is the original form of Jennifer. I think it is a beautiful and romantic names. The same goes for Genevieve though this name is perhaps not related to Jennifer.- She said he made a racial slur!

Guinevere is lovely, my favourite, because it has romantic connotations and is rarely used

I don't care for any of them myself. I think Jenny and Jennifer were killed by overuse. I know tons of them. Also dealing strictly with aesthetics I tend to dislike names that end with "ee" and the "fer" in Jennifer does nothing for me. Guinevere, I don't know, I just don't care for it. I'm guessing it's aesthetics and personal preference again as I don't seem to care for any name that starts with a "gw" sound. Genevieve I like the best of the four although it's nms. I do like Geneva which is similar to Genevieve.

The only one I like is Jennifer, but I'm biased since it's my name :-) I've never been fond of Jenny, even as a NN. Guinevere & Genevieve sound old-fashioned imo, and aren't my style at all.

I like them :) but I'm partial. My fullname is Jennifer, hence the reason i go by Jenni, i don't see any sense in adding a Y when there is an I in Jennifer :)

Genevieve, followed by Guinevere. Yuck to the other 2.

I like Guinnevere best. Two N's, like the song:Guinnevere had green eyes
Like yours, mi'lady, like yours
When she'd walk down through the garden
In the morning after it rainedPeacocks wandered aimlessly
Underneath an orange tree
Why can't she see me?Guinnevere drew pentagrams
Like yours, mi'lady, like yours
Late at night when she thought
That no one was watching at all
On the wallShe shall be freeAs she turns her gaze
Down the slope to the harbor where I lay
Anchored for a dayGuinnevere had golden hair
Like yours, mi'lady, like yours
Streaming out when we'd ride
Through the warm wind down by the bay
YesterdaySeagulls circle endlessly
I sing in silent harmony
We shall be free

I need its noises in my ears.A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

Lovely songBut I still like Guinevere best, I don't like extra letters.- She said he made a racial slur!

JennyI'm not as big on the rest, but I like Jenny quite a bit. I just think it's a sweet and comfortable kind of name. I have a relative Jenny Meade and I think her name is adorable.

Genevieve's my favorite tooBut to be clear, I prefer the American pronunciation of JEN-eh-veev over the French zhahn-vee-EHV, even though, yes, I know, it's a French name.:-)~Lillian~
