Sophie Sarah gmv. I don't like Sophia nearly as much as Sophie, and I believe in calling a child by their fn and not their mn. It just causes confusion. Have you considered Sadie? It's a form of Sarah, which would honor your grandmother, and has a similar feel to Sophie.

I don't really like eithe rone, but if I had to choose, I'd choose Sophia, because it is more grown-up to me. Sophie, as I said above, is sickly-sweet.

Sarah and Sophia are really too similar to go well together. If I really wanted to honor your relative, I'd see if she had a middle name to use that would work better with Sophia.

Sarah Sophia is my favorite. I also love the combo Sally Sophia, and Sally is a nn of Sarah. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I think it's perfectly fine to call her Sophie if her mn is Sophia. =)

In Sweden it would be quite normal to call her Sophie, even if she is named Sarah Sophie. You can be called by your first, second or third name.

But sometimes people advise against it, b/c they say that it will complicated if you go outside Sweden, especially to USA.

Sarah Sophia is my preference. It's certainly fine to call her Sophie if it's her middle name.

Sarah Sophia seems the best overall flow. "Sophie Sarah" makes Sophie sound more like an adjective than a name (ex: soapy Sarah, sappy Sarah).
