[Opinions] Arabella
What do you think of the name Arabella and the nickname Belle or Bella?I really like names with nicknames and I like the femininity of this name. I thought Isabella too trendy. I really like the combo " Arabella Noelle"

Despite its popularity, I still prefer Isabella to Arabella. Bella is a pretty nickname, but I also like it on its own. Other names that Bella might work as a nickname for:
Maribella
Anabella
Lucabella
MirabellaArabella Noelle is to rhymey for my taste. I think I'd want to pair it with something short, yet feminine. Perhaps:
Arabella Rose
Arabella Jane
Arabella Mae

Love it. It's rare and extremely beautiful. I really love the NN Belle/Bella, too, and the combo Arabella Noelle is gorgeous.

I love Arabella, nn Bella. My fave Arabella combo is Arabella Charlotte. Arabella Noelle is a little heavy on the 'elle' but it's no biggie.

Well, I agree that it's very feminine. It's a tad bit flouncy, however. Plus, if you call her Arabella Noelle, it's a little too much -ell sound in a name, in my opinion. Belle and Bella are nice, not just as nicknames, either.
Isabella is a little trendy, but then there's the namesake Isabella Rossellini, which is great. I hope I spelled that right.
I would pick either Arabella or Noelle and find a different fn/mn for it depending on what you pick.

Arabella is one of the few -belle/-bella names I like but I'd never use it because I dislike Belle and Bella as possible nn's. They make me think of spoiled little girls or dogs. :-/

I'm really sorry, but I really hate it.... Arabella is just a very ugly name in my opinion (sorry!)
I don't love Isabella either, but slightly better than Arabella...
I love Noelle though, it's very pretty!

Arabella is gorgeous. But Arabella Noelle has the repeating "el" sound. Arabella Nicole, Arabella Margot, Arabella Winter?

Thanks for all the opinions. I didn't even think of the "elle's" in both names, perhaps it is a bit much, but I still like it! Also like the suggestion Arabella Rose. I think Rose is a good choice for any feminine name. Now, though, I'm wondering if Arabella, Belle, and Bella are just too lacey and prissy names for a daughter who I don't want to be a girly girl. What do you think?
