Hello,I saw this name in the database. It is listed as a Polish surname meaning "lapwing." Could anyone help me out on pronunciation of this name?Thanks for your help,Eien

Yhe pronounciation should beCHAHEEKA"ch" is pronounced like "ch" in "chalk".

This is a Russian surname, too, meaning "see-gull".
Should be pronounced the same way as in Polish: tshaj-ka.Greetings from Saint-Petersburg! ))

I don't know how to write it down phonetically in English, but it would be something like this:
ch+eye+ka
"cz" is like "ch" in "church"
"aj" is like "eye"
stress the first syllable and you've got a lapwing in Polish.
