Hunter on a girl seems so Dallas to me - a sheltered white girl from new money. That image aside, it's not the worst humble-occupation-surname used on females. It benefits from things like classical huntresses (Diana) and other fantasy images. In some accents it could be made a bit unattractive because it becomes "Hun'er." I personally would rate it above Lavender and Mason, and below Clover and Avery - about a 3.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. It's not particularly appealing to me, but I think I could call a woman Hunter without squirming.
Elissa is nice - I recently met a woman with this name. She's about 45-50. I prefer Alyssa, though. Lainey is another Dallas-y name to me - it seems kind of 80s, even! I like it a shade better as Lanie, a nickname for Elaine or another name with the "lane" sound.
