[Opinions] Walter and Luther
My husband's grandfather is named Luther. The nn Wally has been on my mind lately also. What do you think of Luther? Possible nn?
What do you think of Walter, nn Wally? Could it make a comeback?ETA: Brainflash! What about Walker, nn Wally?Generate Your Own Glitter Graphics @ GlitterYourWay.com - Image hosted by ImageShack.us

I prefer Walter, nn Wally (I have a friend who goes by this) more than Luther, because #1 I love the name, and #2 Martin Luther had some unsavory anti-Semitic views. I do like the sound of Luther, though...until it starts to sound like Loser with a lisp.

I like Walter quite a bit, although I prefer the nn Walt. As for Luther... well, I'm forever reminded of Lex Luther when I see it.

Luther - maybe as a middle name, but it's too surnamey for me.
I like Walter quite a bit, but not Wally. Walker is too surnamey.

Luther is nms. but Walter is nice. I would probably use it as a MN , but could see it make a comeback. Walker is nice, but reminds me of the TV show " Walker, Texas Ranger." ;)

Thanks for bringing up "Walker, Texas Ranger" as we live in Texas and our last name is the same as the star of that show. That would be embarassing. :)Generate Your Own Glitter Graphics @ GlitterYourWay.com - Image hosted by ImageShack.us
