[Opinions] WDYTO Emmy?
Yesterday I suddenly realised that I like the name Emmy.
What do you think of it?
Best spelling? Emmy, Emy, Emmi, Emi, Emmie?
Favorites right now: Alec and Ellen

I love the nn Emmy (I also love the spelling Emme, but not the others as much) but I'm not sure about it as a full name, which is weird considering that I love names like Romy (which I've become obsessed with since Sofia Coppola used it, even though Matt Lauer used it years ago & I have the movie Romy & Michelle) & Maggie. I guess, as is the case with all of us, its just because I love so many longer versions from which Emmy can be derived whereas I'm not keen on Rosemary or Margaret but that truly is just my opinion and I'm definitely not saying its an unusable name. Its quite nice, on someone else's child.I still love Emma (DH's favourite), Emily, Emerson / Emmerson, and especially Emelia (my favourite).

I love Emmylou, but Emmy on its own does nothing for me.Array

I like Emmy as a NN - I don't think it makes a good given name. I like Emmeline NN Emmy. But if any sp, I like it spelled Emme.Stephie.'Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.' Proverbs 4:23

Emmy is cute.
I like it best as a nn for one of the Em- names, but my favourite spelling for it as a stand alone name is Emi

I like it spelled Emmie. It reminds me less of the awards show. I think it's cute enough, but may not age well.Generate Your Own Glitter Graphics @ GlitterYourWay.com - Image hosted by ImageShack.us

I don't like it, I used to have a collegue called Emmy (she started working on the same day as a guy named Emil, which we consider funny, they sound like a comic duo: Emmy and Emil). Emi would be the best spelling imo.
