[Opinions] Jocelyn
I've come to like Jocelyn recently, but I don't know if I'd use it with the -lyn names trend going around right now. Do you think that it would be usable a few years from now? (for a girl, I mean)

I only like the name Jocelyn for a boy, spelt Joscelin / Jocelin, but I think it's usable now (for a girl)

To me, Jocelyn already sounds kind of dated, and I think it definitely will sound very 80's-90's in the next 20 or 30 years. I think you mean to say that you'll be having a child in a few years, and that they would be either trapped in a wave of -lyn's, or several years behind a wave of -lyn's. So if you wouldn't use a name because there's a chance it will sound dated, I would steer clear of Jocelyn. But if that's not really a concern for you (and it doesn't really have to be), then go for it.

Jocelyn is an established name, so I don't think people would view it as one of the trendy -lyn names. It's one of those names that is established, but has never been wildly popular, so I definitely think it will be useable a few years from now.
