[Opinions] Re: Francis
in reply to a message by Cera
I really love Francis; if not for some very bad familial connotations, I would definitely seriously consider it myself. Unfortunately, I'm left with Frank and only Frank. ;)I like Francis Wayne a lot; it gives Wayne a classiness I don't hear in it otherwise. Francis Doug and Francis Albert are also fabulous. The other two don't do as much for me.A few ideas (not too geriatric, not too out there):Francis Milo
Francis Oliver
Francis Richard
Francis Julian
Francis Karl / Carl
Francis Edward
Francis Desmond
Francis Elliot
Francis Isaiah
Francis Quinn
Francis Quincy
Francis Christophe(r)
Francis George (the reverse of my great-grandfather's name--the reason I can't use it--so I can't recommend it personally, lol)
Francis Henry
Francis Maurice
Francis Roger
Francis Edmond
Francis Gregory
Francis Holden
Francis Bernard
Francis Benjamin
Francis Adam
Francis Benedict
Francis Calvin
Francis Alden / Francis Aldo
Francis Derek
Francis Martin
Francis Mark
Francis Leonard
Francis Lionel
Francis Leonardo
Francis Leo
Francis NeilAny of those appeal to you? I'm a bit out of my element, suggesting them, but I'm hoping I might have hit on something nice. :)Array

I like Frank too. If I named a son Francis he would definitely be called Frank as long as I had anything to say about it.I'm really liking Francis Adam; Adam has grown on me lately and I'm not sure why. It compliments Francis really nicely, I think.Francis Roger might be a good choice too, since Roger was my grandfather's middle name.Others that caught my eye:
Francis Edward
Francis Edmond (Edwin is still my favorite of the "Ed" names, but no one else seems to like it.)
Francis Leo (Leo is one of my favorites)
Francis Leonard (I'm not a fan of Leonard on its own but I like the way it flows with Francis)
Francis Elliot
Francis George
Francis Alden (Again, don't really like it on its own, but it sounds nice with Francis)
