[Opinions] a Latin name... need help please!

I have been thinking about this name for ages, derived from Latin lumina, expirementing with different pronunciations and forms. Which ones do you like? Lumina (LOO-mi-na)
Lumina (LOO-mee-na)
Lumina (loo-MEE-na)
Other? Lumine (leu-MEEN)
Lumine (loo-MEEN)
Lumine (LOO-meen)
Lumine (LEU-meen)
Other?Luminita
Luminia (loo-mi-NEE-a is what I was thinking)

I like Luminia or Luminita. Lumina is a car made by Chevy. Looking at the pronunctiations of Lumine I can't get the word lo mein out of my head. Luminia is pretty.

about leu-MEENWould that be too hard for a little girl to pronounce her name? I mean, I live in the US, so French sounds are pretty foreign to most of us. Would the "eu" sound just be too much?Camille J

well it wouldn't be if you're willing to accept that probably EVERYONE will mispronounce her name at first. For me it would be a problem, but if I really really loved that pron. I'd use it anyway.

Yeah, mispronouncing the name isn't a huge deal for me. If the little girl can say it, then I guess I'd probably go for it. The "eu" sound is classier than just plain "oo" in my opinion.Camille J

well that shouldn't be a problem, since all children are born with the potential to speak any language, so if you teach her the sound EU, she'll definately be able to pronounce it.
