[Opinions] Cecilia

1. I think of a very beautiful, musically talented girl.
2. No, I think that it is rather old fashioned, so I wouldn't call it trendy. I don't think it's common either. I have never met a Cecilia and I don't see many baby Cecilia's being born either.
3. Cecilia Rose? Yeah ... Rose is becoming too common as a middle name. I'm bad at making combos ... I like Cecilia Ruby though :).
4. C. :)

1) What do you think of it? - Its neither bad nor good - just not my cup of tea.
2) Do you think it's "trendy" or "common"? - Neither, its never been very popular, but not hated either. I think of two types of girls: the shy, reserved type who suit this name & the loud, obnoxious type who are rebelling from the restraints of life (like Bette Midler's character in Beaches!)
3) Do you have any middle name suggestions? - Cecelia (I prefer the 2 "e"s)Kathleen or Madeleine
4) Are than any good nicnames for Cecilia besides Celia? - The obvious CeCe (which will happen no matter how its spelled)
+ Its a different name that is not too different & would never ever offend anyone.

1) I like it a lot. It's been growing on me lately, although I think I prefer Cecily.
2) Not at all. It's quite well-known, but I wouldn't call it trendy. It also seems quite elegant- not common at all.
3) Cecilia Judith was the first thing I thought. Some others:
Cecilia Mary
Cecilia Margaret
Cecilia Anne
Cecilia Rebecca
Cecilia Josephine
Cecilia Ruby
Cecilia Katherine
Cecilia Frances
Cecilia Bethany
Cecilia Dione
Cecilia Louise / Cecilia Louisa
Cecilia May
Cecilia Pearl
4) Are than any good nicnames for Cecilia besides Celia? Cissy / Sissy, Cili, Lili, Lia, Cecily
Hope I helped! :)

I like it, it is my aunt Katherine's middle name.
I think it is becoming trendy but not popular, as I think the classical names are becoming a bit fo a trend
As for middle names I guess you could go the standard route of Elizabeth, Catherine, Kathleen, Margaret, Jane, Mary, or any of the numerous variations to those.
NN Cecily, which is another form of the name.

1. I love it.
2. If my only choices are trendy or common I'd definitely pick common. I checked the popularity charts and I was surprised by it's relative steadiness in popularity. Since 1900 it's never ranked lower than 389 for a decade (1970-1979) and no higher than 185 (1900-1909). In the last 10 years it's never been higher than 239 (1995) or lower than 300 (1997).
3. How 'bout Cecilia Bernadette, Cecilia Aurore, Cecilia Grace, Cecilia Rosemary, Cecilia Marguerite, Cecilia Vivian, Cecilia Therese
4. Good nns? I'm not sure how good these are but there's also (spellings up for grabs) CeCe, Ceely, Lia, Cessy
