I love the name Annelise. If you can connect this name to a member of your family or some kind of naming tradition - even better. It makes me laugh, reading the names people come up with on this site - ie. Ruby Whirlwind!!! There are many ridiculous, ugly, or just awful names people seem to plan to inflict on their future children, just so they can say it's "unique". If noboby uses these names, there's a very good reason for it! Annelise is a beautiful, classic name, and I think your thought process in naming your child after your Nan and to include your own name is a very sound one.
