[Opinions] Fertility?
I'll stick my neck out here, but "Fertility"? Will that work?

No. Sounds like it refers to the parents' efforts to conceive her - not a very dignified thing to refer to. How about Nefertiti, for similar sound, or Persephone or Demetria for similar meaning?

Yikes. It seems so easy to tease, and as others have pointed out, what if she has problems with infertility? How about Felicity or Serenity instead?

I normally love Virtue names that were popular in Pilgrim/Puritan days, but Fertility is too out-there even for me, and it would be just cruel if the girl grows up to have fertility problems.

IMO it is horrible as a name. As someone who has struggled with infertility for the last 3 plus years, it is hurtful too. And one in six couples has infertility struggles. It almost sounds like an 'omen' to me.Plus, I would want a female child to be known for more than her reproductive abilities.

I see your "No" and raise you a "Heck no."

And I see your "Heck no" and raise you a "Hell no".

You do? Why not?

A multitude of reasons:-It has the same teasability factor as Chastity and Purity.-It's overtly sexual--implies sexuality in a way that makes me uncomfortable about it as a name.-It's overbearing; what if Fertility doesn't want children?-It could be hurtful; what if Fertility has difficulty conceiving?-It sounds uneducated, along the lines of "joke" names like Female and Excema.Would you like me to go on, or are those enough reasons for you?Array

Chastity and Purity aren't as IMO though. lol I would rather be named Purity, then Fertility.

Exactly.Array said pretty much everything I was thinking. Most virtue names, like Grace and Honor, work because most people agree that grace and honor are good qualities. Fertility, on the other hand, is not something that everyone desires. Naming a girl Fertility blatantly assumes that she will want (and have) children, and that's not a reasonable assumption.
