Against the odds, our lizard Rocky has survived these three years. Janie, now 19, is studying nursing in Boston. We miss her terribly, as she was a great help with the children. Janie, however, calls twice a week, and visits as often as her schedule allows. Kami is 5 1/2. She is turning into a lovely little girl, and recently started asking why she looks different from the rest of us. We told her about Mozambique, and have been getting some books out of the library on her heritage and native culture. Kami seems to be enjoying them immensely. Carly is 5. She and Kami are in the same Kindergarten class together. Carly has developed a love for the outdoors, and handles Rocky the most out of all the kids. Perry and Hirrie (as Gwaihir is now called) are 3. We've had some difficulty telling them apart, but Kami seems to have an uncanny ability to tell them apart--though they are absolutely identical in appearance. The boys are in preschool now. This year, they are in the same class, but Wil and I are considering separating them next year so that they can grow into their own personalities. The newest member of the family is Adam! Adam Hunter Thompson was born just under a week. He is perfectly healthy, and has adjusted very well to the amount of noise and chaos in our household. The kids all love him, and treat him like a china doll.
