It's the sort of thing I'd want to like, because y'know, literary characters and stuff are my thing.
But if you spent all of high school being friends with a boy who was Tolkien obsessed (and more importantly, Silmarillion obsessed) to the point that he called his girlfriend Tinuviel (Tinny for short), then you might feel an indescribable rage every time you heard Luthien, too. ;)
He's a nice guy, honestly, but I froth at the mouth at Tolkien names now. Ugh. Super-saturation and misery and so on and so forth.
