I know a girl called Soraya, but to me it sounds like psoriasis. A disease... which isn't pretty.

I love it, but prefer it SaraiaWhether one wishes to argue that it's derived from Soraya or an elaboration of Sarai, matters not to me, I love it, and spell it Saraia. It's all the As, I love all the As.

I would pronounce it so-RYE-ah. I think it's really pretty.

It's probably a variation of Soraya, which you can click on to find the meaning.I'd say sor-EYE-ah or Soraia and sor-AY-ah or sor-EYE-ah for Soraya.

I would pronounce it suh-RYE-uh. I believe it's a variant transcription of Thurayya, an Arabic name that refers to a constellation. Alternatively, it could be an elaboration of Sarai. It's very pretty.

I would prn it So - RAY - uh, like Isaiah but with "sor" at the beginning instead. No idea where it comes from, but the name Facts board might be more helpful for that sort of thing.Edited to add that Soraya is on the site, and that's pretty similar. I think molly probably has the right idea with it being a variant of Thurayya. The sound is pretty, and if it is a variant of Soraya / Thurayya, then I am inclined to really like it because I love mythology.
