Ava was so excited when Lucas and I told her she was going to be a big sister, and was absolutely over the moon when she found out we were having not one but two girls. Aylin and Ella arrived early yesterday morning and are doing wonderfully. From what we can tell so far, they're identical, with dark blond hair and beautiful blue eyes. In fact, they're the spitting image of their dad. Ava loves peeking into their crib and wants to hold them all the time.
Christian and Samantha were married about a year ago. My niece Audrey was the flower girl at their wedding. Ava was very jealous of her cousin, but she won't have to be for long, because Lucas' brother Frankie and his girlfriend Hannah are also getting married soon! They've told Ava she can be their flower girl, and she can't wait. Our whole family was surprised that Frankie had proposed, since he's still young and doesn't really seem like the type to make a big commitment so soon. But they have been dating for four years now, so we can only wish them the best.
