There's a police chief in Wisconsin named Noble Wray. I always thought that Noble sounded really handsome, mostly because I think of a real-life person. Ezra Noble is especially great. I hate to sound gushy, but it's poetic; I love word names, and how can one separate Ezra from Pound?

Royal is fine as a middle name, IMO, mostly because I think of Almanzo Wilder's elder brother. :) But I do definitely prefer Noble to Royal.
