Damasus - Could this be misspelling or alternate form of "Damascus"? "Damascus" literally means "blood-spilt", but the name is more often connected to the apostle Paul who had his epiphany while on the road to Damascus.
Rurik - Slavic form of "Roderick ", meaning "famous ruler".
Amaris - Feminine form of the Hebrew name "Amariah ", meaning "God has promised". Some sources claim that this name also means "child of the moon", but I'm not sure where they get that from. It also may be a contracted form of Amaryllis (click on the name to find the meaning).
Heheh... Go post to Patricia on this board what your name is spelled backwards, Natasa, like you did over on Haggisbutt. That cracked me up. :)
