[Opinions] Carter
I go back and forth on liking this name and feeling that it is sort of humdrum for some reason. It just seems to suit us and my husband and I both like it most of the time, which is the best I can say for any name right now. What do you think? Can you see a grown man with this name? What sort of kid would you see with the name Carter?

I don't like it - it's too surnamey for me. However, I could see a grown man with the name.

I like it. I see a grown man more than a child though. But they have to start somewhere, don't they?

I can see it on a man or a kid. It's a borderline GP for me. I wouldn't actually use it, and I definitely think it's getting too popular, but in and of itself, I don't mind the name.

I LOVE the name Carter. I don't find it to be humdrum at all! I think it suits a child as well as a grown man. I love it :)

I'm not a fan of either the surname trend, or the occupation trend.I can picture it on a child or man, but I don't like it very much. I think it will date pretty badly.

As a middle name only. I picture Carter as handsome, intelligent, athletic & somewhat reserved.

I think it is humdrum--humdrum and, more importantly, extremely trendy. I dislike it.Array

I think Carter is nice. I know more people with Carter as a surname but not as a first name so you may want to think about that.
