Mainly because of a character in a book I once read.

Don't really care for it, but like it better than Josephine.

I've always assume it was jo-SEF-ah, which sounds kind of awkward to me, but since I've never heard it pronounced, that was just the first thing I latched on to. :b I don't know that I like it, but I do prefer Josephine.
