[Opinions] Alia for a boy?
Would Alia work for a boy? What about Aliyah, or Aaliyah, or any variant? Also, what do you think of these names for a boy:Santiago
Braiden
Marquise
Halo
Jamaal/Jerome (Could these names work on a white person?)
Cristoff
Carmen
Carlotta
Harbor
Maybel
Latisha (to feminine?)
Carson/Karsin
Orville
Lacy
Quinneyver? (Sounds odd but my friend suggested it after a person she used to know)Edit: Also, Harper Austine, and Callie Arthur WDYT? Also, Cecilio.

Sorry, that is a feminine name if there ever was one!
Santiago: I love this name, if only because I know a gorgeous boy who bears it!

Braiden: Like it, prefer Braden Marquise: A little too fancy for me Halo: I really like it, but I think it would spark too much ridiculeJamaal/Jerome (Could these names work on a white person?): I know an adorable black girl named Adeline and had a white teacher named Keisha; I don't like sterotypes about names, and names should be colorless- if you like a name, don't let anything discourage you from using it Cristoff- Like it, prefer Kristoff Carmen- Girl only, period. Carmello works for a boy though.Carlotta- A boy should be Carlos or Charles, Carlotta is girl only I'm afraid; that's like naming your son Charlotte!Harbor- I love itMaybel- One of the most feminine names on the list Latisha (to feminine?)- WAAAY too feminineCarson/Karsin- Prefer it on a girl, but its cool (Carson only)Orville- I love it, eccentric and cool Lacy- WAAAY too feminine Quinneyver- Sounds too made up for me

I totally think girly when I see Alia. The only names I like are:
Braiden
Harbor
CarsonCallie, Carlotta, Maybel, Latisha, and Lacy are WAY girly. I don't think Jamaal could work on a white person, Jerome could.

Alia on a boy: Is this a joke?Any Aliyah variant on a boy: Ali (as in Muhammad Ali)Santiago: Ilike itBraiden: prefer Braden; I know someone named BradenMarquise: prefer Marquis, the E ending sort of feminizes it for me Halo: sure, if it's a video game character; this would seem more like a GP than an actual contender IMOJamaal/ Jerome: sure, don't see why not; I like Jerome, Jamaal is OK; I know a white person named Jameel/ Jamil (not sure how he spells it); I know people in France with LN JérômeCristoff: I like this spelling better than Christoph; also like the spelling KristofCarmen: prefer Carmine or Carmelo; there is a male Christian artist with this name, only his is spelled CarmanCarlotta: only for a girl. what about Carlito, Carlo, or Carlos?Harbor: don't like it as a name. But I guess it'd be more suitable on a boy than a girl.Maybel: Not on a boy.Latisha (to feminine?): I guess you already know it's a GIRL name, I needen't say anything more. Carson/ Karsin: prefer Carson, drop the kriaetyvateighOrville: sort of old-fashioned, but it's interesting--I like itLacy: too feminine IMOQuinneyver: Hm, no. Makes me think of Quinn + (Jenn)ifer; Why not Quinn, Quentin, or Quinlan?

I can't picture Alia on a boy, although I have heard of Ali.Santiago - I actually like this name. My bf brought it up when we were first looking through names.
Braiden - prefer Braeden
Marquise -nms
Halo -nmsaa
Jamaal/Jerome (Could these names work on a white person?) One of my best friends in high school was a guy named Jerome. He's white. I also know another guy who's white with the name Kyle Jerome.
Cristoff - ehh
Carmen - I picture this on a girl
Carlotta - ditto
Harbor - maybe as a mn
Maybel - not on a boy
Latisha (to feminine?) - yes too feminine.
Carson/Karsin - I prefer Carson. I know two males by this name. One who is about 27 and one who is about 5.
Orville - As a mn. This name dates back in my family. My great-great grandpa was William Orville.
Lacy - This is too frilly to be a boys name. Its nmsaa even on a girl.
Quinneyver? (Sounds odd but my friend suggested it after a person she used to know) - maybe with the nn quinn, but its pushing it. nms.Edit: Also, Harper Austine, and Callie Arthur WDYT? Also, Cecilio.*Maybe Harper Austin or Harper Augustin. Callie is nms on a boy Cecilio Arthur works.
