[Opinions] Rowen/Rowan/Rohan
WDYT?The only spelling i had encountered before i discovered this site was Rohan. My cousin (boy) is Rohan and as it was my only exposure to the name i thought that was the normal spelling. On here - Rowan seems more common and people even use Rowen for girls..WDYT - prefer it on boy/girl? and wdyt of spelling?

Ummm, well, it might not matter to you that much, but Rohan is the name of a country in Middle Earth in Lord of the Rings. It's pronounced differently, though. I like all of the names. Rowan sounds more like a girls name.

Rohan looks like RO-han or RO-hahn to me, not RO-an or RO-en, like Rowan or Rowen would be pronounced, imo. I love Rowan--this spelling only--and for a boy, though I find it slightly more tolerable on girls than I do most unisex names. Not sure why that is, though. :b

Rowan, Rohan for boys. Rowen could be either. I like Rowan (m) best.

Prefer Roman for a boy

Rowan is an okay name. I like it for both sexes. I prefer it spelled Rowan for both as well.

Rohan - girl
Rowan - both
Rowen - girl, don't particularly like this spelling though, it seems trendy

Rowan for both & Roan (pr, like Joan) for boys.Neither Rowen or Rohan are my cup of tea.

Rohan is my favourite spelling, and Rowan is one of the only traditionally boys names I don't mind on a girl.

I like the Rowan spelling best, and I like it better as a boy's name (in fact it's one of my favorites).

I adore Rowan on a boy. Rowen is just misspelled. Rohan is also nice.I don't like it on a girl, but it's not as bad as, say, Jaymz on a girl.

Don't really care for it, but I think it's more for boys than girls.

I like all three for boys.

I like it on both genders but prefer it on a boy. I like the spelling Rowan best for both genders.

I know most people will not agree with me, but I LOVE it on a girl! With a really girly middle name, I think it is gorgeous on a girl. (i.e. Rowan Alyssa, Rowan Grace, Rowan Alessandra, Rowan Alexandra)

Rowan is a GP for me, but only on a girl. There's just something about it that doesn't appeal to me as a boy's name.

I don't like it at all. It's probably my least favorite boy's name (but I'd hate it more on a girl). I think Rohan is a little better than Rowan or Rowen; I'd assume they're pronounced differently from Rohan.

I'm wasn't familiar with Rohan until someone mentioned it on here in the last couple days. My first thought was that it was pronounced ro-hahn. But if it's pronounced like the name Rowan, I actually prefer the Rowan spelling. If one did use Rohan spelling, I'd prefer it on a boy, and not a girl; it's too masculine of a spelling IMO. Rowen is OK; not too fond of that spelling, but it would be more suitable on a girl than a boy IMO. I strongly prefer the Rowan spelling. And I like it on either a girl or boy, no strong preference either way.

I could like Rowen on a girl. Otherwise I don't care for it.To me, Rohan and Rowan are two different names.

I LOVE Rowan for a boy but it is getting more girly, I think :(I know a little boy name Rohan. I used to dislike that but it's growing on me and there's little chance that'll go to the girls! (As far as I know it isn't unisex but I didn't know Rowan was until about 8 months ago and I've liked it for much longer).
