[Surname] Hebbe . . . origin?
Does anyone know the origin of this name? I've noticed that some Swedes are nicknamed "Hebbe", so what is the name derived from?

I would add to the above that Hebb and Hebbes are English surnames. Hebb is a diminutive of male given name Herbert, as, I imagine are Hebbes and Hebbe, if the last is found as an English surname.
