Jade is a GP name that does not fit my naming style at all, but I think I would personally use it for animals and not people. I could see it on let's say a cute green lizard or something. ;-)

I really like it, but only for a girl. My brother's gf has Jade as her mn, so I couldn't really use it for that reason.

I've never cared for it though it's grown on me slightly as of late. It seems like it's getting slightly filler-ish as a mn, though, so I prefer seeing it as a fn (though it's still far from being a personal favorite).

I would love middle names for Jade (boy). I only like Jade on a girl as a middle name.

It's right on the border of being trifling/trendy/cutesy and pretty/adorable/spunky. I personally adore it.

I actually really like the name Jade, however, I do feel that it is way over used and common. I would use it as a middle name as well like others have mentioned in the comments :)

I don't know why, but Jade has always struck me as supremely tacky. I picture a thirty-something, chain-smoking, bleached blonde, woman living in a double-wide trailer. She wears clothes that would be appropriate fora steenage hooker, gets drunk every night, and tries to sleep with a different man every night too. She thinks she's hot stuff but she looks ten years older than she really is, and hard enough to roller-skate on. lol

I'm not crazy about the name Jade, though my neighbor's daughter is named Jade and my niece is Alice Jaiden.

Okay as a mn, but definitely past its prime, as others have said. I wouldn't use it, but it's not a horrible name.

I think it's past its prime. This name was trendy during the 90's & the early 2000's. But I think it makes a good mn.
