[Opinions] Help with a nickname.
We are close to giving birth to our first baby. We have picked Bredan (BRAY-dan) Joseph Edward if it is a boy. I was wondering if anyone might have a suggestion for a possible nickname. Maybe Bray? Something else? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
-Matt P.S. We have picked Briana (BREE-ahna) Marie Lourdes if it is a girl. So, we are thinking Bree or Bria for a nickname.

I would pronounce Bredan as BREAD-in, and would certainly misspell it. I would spell it Brayden or Braden. Brae or Brady would be nice nn's.

Brady for Bredan, and Bree for Briana.

I like Brady as a nick name for Bredan.

If you really must use something as trendy as Braden, at least spell it in such a way that it'll be pronunced correctly. Bredan looks like BREE-dan or BREH-din; it doesn't look like BRAY-den. Braden would be better (or better yet, Edward Joseph Braden sounds handsome and won't be nearly as dated in twenty years). Why do you need a nickname for it, anyway? Once he's born, you'll be giving him pet names all over the place--with a name as short as Braden, there's no need for an "official" nickname. Array

Bredan...Braden is a very handsome surname however, it's incredibly popular these days and your son may have to use his last initial throughout school. It also competes with other incredibly popular "aden" names like Aidan, Caden, Jaden, etc. If popularity is not a concern for you then I say go for it. Braden is the spelling I prefer personally as the pronunciation is straight forward. Bredan might get pronunciations like "Bread-in". As far as nick names go, Aden or Brady would be very handsome. Bray is the sound a horse makes....
