[Opinions] Rachelle
How do you pronounce this name? There is a girl who is in quite a few of my classes named Rachelle and she pronounces it just like Rachel. I don't think anyone has ever gotten it right on the first try (or even remembers how to say it right) and it drives her crazy!

The only Rachelle I know pronounces it just like Rachael. They have a bit of a trend in her family for 'Frenchifying' the spellings of names- her mum is Jeanette and her sister is Helene (pronounced Helen).

I don't pronounce this like Rachel. I say Rachelle like Michelle but w/an R. I know a girl named Melanie Rachelle, and that's how she pronounces it.

(ra-shell), also seen it spelt Rochelle.

ra-SHEL, but...I prefer Rachel, which is pronounced roughly the same in French anyway. Rachelle's needlessly fussy and elaborate imo.Miranda

I pronounce it RA-Shell. It's my cousin's middle name and that is how she pronounces it.

Yeah it would be frustrating to be her, but that is how most people would pronounce the spelling.I was going to ask you if Ruth is actually your middle name. The reason I ask is because it is also my middle name.

YesRuth is my middle name. I am my mother's first daughter and she named me after both of my grandmothers. My mom's mom was Sara Eurania and my dad's mom is Ruth.

Thats awesome. My grandmother is actually Annie Ruth, my mother is Ruth Ann, my sister is Laurie Ann, and I'm Kerri Ruth. So it's a tradition for me as well.
