[Opinions] Melia?
I was wondering what you thought of Melia. Good or bad, all opinions will be appreciated, as will middle name suggestions.
I also put in what BTN says about the name, if it helps any.MELIA (2)
Gender: Feminine Usage: Greek Mythology

Means "ash tree" in Greek. This was the name of a nymph in Greek myth, the daughter of the Greek god Okeanos.

I like Melia, but I prefer Amelia as a name that sounds like it because I would pronounce Melia as "MEE-lee-a". If I was interested in the meaning, I much prefer Melia to Ashley (also has "ash tree" in the meaning).some random suggestions from your favourite names in your profile:
Melia Abigail
Melia Adelaide
Melia Heidi
Melia Elodie
Melia Scarlett
Melia Sophie
Melia Violet
Melia Camille
Melia Lorelei
Melia Kiersten
Melia Cheyenne
Melia Gabrielle

I like it. It reminds me of other names that mean "honey". I like the pronunciation MEE-lee-ah.

How are you pronouncing it?

Ma-lee-ah. If this isn't right or there are other ways, please let me know.

My first inclination...Would be MEH-lee-ah, and after that, MEEL-yah. I assume you're saying it the same way one would say Maliya or Maleah?I really dislike it, in that case. I do like it pronounced MEH-lee-ah, though.Array

I'd think it was like Amelia without the ah, myself...mee-lee-yah or somewhat close.

Ditto Array's pronunciationMy first thought would be MEH-lee-ah, and then possibly meh-LEE-ah. I could probably force myself to read it as MEEL-ee-ah (like Amelia without the "A"), but it's definitely not an intuitive pronunciation to me.I don't really care for the name with any pronunciation, but it's not bad pronounced MEH-lee-ah.

I pronounce it meh-LEE-ah or meel-EE-ah and the pronounciation mah-lee-ah sounds forced. If you want that pronounciation then use Malia or Maleah. I like Melia. It is cute yet will age well IMO. It has a great meaning and I like that it is mythological.

I like it, prn. MEH-lee-uh.

MEH-lee-ah is how I would say it. Malia would make more sense for your proununciation. It's very pretty but I prefer Amelia.

I prefer it spelled Maliah, Maleah, or Malia, but I still like it. It's not a favorite, but I don't cringe when I hear it.
