[Opinions] Maggie
I love Maggie, but IMO it is a nickname. I strongly dislike Margaret, so my question is... What other name could result in the nickname Maggie? Thanks!

I know a girl who's name is Mary and she goes by Maggie. It could also work for Megan

I adore the name Maggie; it is in my top three for a first born daughter. If it were up to me, I would use it as a full name. My boyfriend is like you though and think sit is too nicknameish. Marguerite is a name I really like but think is a little too dated/unpopular for me to actually use. I do really like it though and think it is very classic, sophisticated and elegant. So that's my vote.

Margot -- one of my favorite names, but I don't think it needs a NN
Megan / Meagan / etc
Megara
Magdalen / Magdalena
Marguerite

I really love Margalo (like the bird in Stuart Little). While I far prefer the nn Marlo, Maggie would certainly work, too.Array

I actually love Megan, but never thought of Maggie as a NN for it.... I guess since Megan is a pet name for Margaret it would work... Not too fond of any of the other though...

I think Megan nn Maggie could definitely work. Maggie is a hard one to find a full name for because I really don't think there are that many names it could work for. Some more:
Magda
Agda
MoragWDYT?I truly think that Maggie can work as a stand alone name, especially if it has a really substantial, formal and long mn to balance it out.
