Funny you should say that
about Galen and Gabriel. I know you're right about the "gay-" sound, which distresses me. (I like the name Gaylord too, but there's not a snowball's chance in hell of that ever being accepted in the mainstream - oh well *sigh*). But I really like both names, despite that Gabriel seems to be getting more attention lately. I like Galen for the medical connection. I think it's loads more appealing than Hippocrates! *LOL* I used the name Galen for a doctor character in a piece of alternate-history fiction. It just really caught my attention that you mention Galen because of that medical connection. =D
