I can't see Blair on a girl. I went to school with a really snobby boy called Blair, and I can't see past that.
I prefer Blair as a boy's name (typical for me).
I think of the Blair witch. Or a girl who's not very nice. Sorry. :)

exactly
It's a popular boys' name here just now. I dislike it, regardless of gender. Besides, it's got the political baggage of Tony Blair where I live, and I dislike names that oculd be interpreted as political.
With the exceptions of Blanche and its variants, Blossom, and Blodwen, I think Bl- names all sound rather masculine. Blake, Blair, etc all sound 100% male to me. That view is heightened by their surnameyness for me.
So I much prefer Blair on a boy only. I prefer, regardless, the spelling Blaire though (in contrast to my usual preference of original spellings). Blaire just looks more complete to me.

Strange, Blair on girls must be more common than I'd realised! I personally know two, a guy and a girl, but the girl spells her name Blaire. It really suits her, but as name on either boys or girls, I just don't like it. It doesn't sound pretty and ultra-feminine enough for my style for girls names, and I don't really like surnamey names on boys (with a few exceptions such as Garrett, Elliott and Bennett).

I like it.. on a girl, it's sweet. I'm biased, because I know one.
On a grown woman it's a bit less appealing. I'm not sure why. It just has a shallow ring to it, for me.

Blair is ok on a girl. I actually know 3 Blairs, but one of them is Blaire. It's nice!
