[Facts] Re: A German form of Justin?
Hi Justin,Justin is a Latin name. It's used both in English and in German. The German pronunciation is YOOS-teen [oo short like in 'book'], while the English is JUS-tin. Other forms used in Germany are e.g.:Just m. (YOOST) -[oo short like in 'book']
Justina f. (yoo-STEE-nah) -[oo short like in 'book']
Justinian m. (yoo-STEE-nee-ahn) -[oo short like in 'book']
Justinianus m.(yoo-stee-nee-AH-nous) -[oo short like in 'book']
Justinus m. (YOO-stee-noos or yoo-STEE-noos) -[oo short like in 'book']
Justus m. (YOOS-toos) -[oo short like in 'book']During the last few years, Justin pronounced the English way has become quite popular in Germany, too.Regards, Satu
