I really like both Bronwen and Winifred, although not together, since it becomes virtually impossible to say- bronwinwinifred!

I like Bronwen although I don't care for the combo Bronwen Winifred. I don't like the wen-win in the middle.

I like Bronwen, just because of my Welsh heritage...I always gravitate towards those names. I imagine a girl with brown hair, kinda plain and smart.
As for Winifred, well I really don't like it. I don't like Fred being in there. I don't like Winnie as a nn, Winnie the Pooh? Or whiny?? Just bad associations for me! Sorry!

I like both. Bronwen has grown on me over the years, and I've liked Winifred nn Winnie for a while. But Winifred is very pretty on its own, and would be very nice as a mn imo.

I've known a few Bronwen/Bronwyn 's. They've all been girls, even those who spelled it Bronwyn (wyn is a male welsh suffix, i'm told).

One was a little thing, 5 foot nothing, perfect ringlet curls, spunky, athletic and a gymnast, very popular, pretty and funny. (She was about 16 when I knew her).

Another was tall and thin, soft spoken, smart, a ballet dancer.

All have been pale with brown hair. Generally I have good associations with the name.

I don't care for Winifred at all!

I knew a lady years ago in her thirties and she was nice, not very pretty(missing teeth, stragly hair, super thin, I think she was on drugs but i'm not sure) and not very smart but a really sweet person. I know that at the time myself and a few other kids had trouble saying her name lol. We always said Bromwen.
