http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=41126&board=genAt any rate, Danaë is never properly pronounced DAN-ay or dan-AY or anything else like that.Ginevra is jin-NEV-ra, I believe.I like both names, but Ginevra might become more popular due to Harry Potter (Ginny Weasley's full fn is Ginevra, not Virginia, as J.K. Rowling herself revealed on her official site).Miranda

My neighbours have a girl called Danae. They pronunce it Dánae (read in spanish). I think with the rules of this site it would be DU-nu-e. I don't know if it's the correct pronunciation.
I don't really care for it pronunced that way. But I like Ginevra, especially spelled that way.
