I have a friend named Augusta. She's petite and funky and so that's what I associate the name to. It's great. =)-Samantha

I love it too, but I don't like any nns for it (except possibly August, and that's only if the child chooses it herself).It's a very strong and noble name imo. And unusual today too.Miranda

Well, I love it, butI don't think I'd use it as a first name because I don't like any of the nicknames for it. I most probably will use it for a middle name if I have a daughter, though, after my grandmother, Edith Augusta.

Ditto, here. I LOVE the name, but I wouldn't want to call my daughter Gus or Augie (even though I know she wouldn't HAVE to have a nn, one is likely inevitable to "develop"). :) I do like it a lot for a mn, though.
