I knew as Isabella nn Izzy - she was wicked cute, as was her nn.
I think the best kind of mn with Isabella would be something shorter without an a ending - those would probably flow best. Not sure what your naming preferences are, but a couple that fit that criteria are:
Joan
Juliet
Maren
Claire
Paige
Ione
