[Opinions] Traylor for a girl?
I just saw a character on a show by the name of Traylor, a girl. I was horrified.

Two words - "Traylor trash".

. . . wanted to say I do know you're not considering it - I'm agreeing with your horror :-)

HAHA. I agree, although this character was supposed to have gone to an Ivy League school and everything. Strange.
And no I would definitely never use it, haha

Woah...
OMG how horrid!
As in trailer trash?! No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What show was it on?
Yeah, that is a pretty awful name, and I've actually heard it before and on a girl. *shudders* Remember that show "Two Guys & A Girl" (and a Pizza Place). The actress who played the "girl" was named Traylor Howard. No clue if that was her real name or not--but why would she want it it if wasn't? Yikes.

Like Traylor Howard? It always makes me think of trailer, sorry.
I know it is a surname, a wrestler knwon as the Big Boss Man was named Ray Traylor in real life. I think maybe as a middle name ona male but not a female first name, I swear that show writers should hire someone to come up with names.
What drives me mad in shows & movies is that the name-maker-uppers tend to be people of child-bearing age, so they choose names for their adult characters which they would like for a child of their own. So you get adults with names like Chase, Chandler and Mackenzie. And then they go and give the kids traditional 1950s-kids-books names like Judy and Timmy. GRR!
Agreed about Chandler, although looking at the popularity . . . it was already at 700 in the 80s and was rising steadily in the early 90s - I can't remember when Friends started but there's a sudden peak for Chandler in 1995 which would be about right. So it looks like Chandler is displaying the "Shirley phenomenon" - a name which is already popular which is 'skyrocketed' by a popular bearer of the name.
Lol, it's far too close to beer o'clock to be thinking about this stuff! :-D

Beer o'clock...
I just had 'Anthony can you finish this drink' o'clock from my mother. Just remember the golden rule, no drinking before Midday ever.

I'm "working" on the graphics computer, and the unruly guys in the infrastructure department nextdoor have been drinking beer and playing cricket with a stress-ball for the last half hour!
