Help[Facts] whats the meaning of CAMPOS!!!..does anyone know.?
hey all, i got a problemo in my hands...i was asked to find out what is the meaning of my last name..and i've been everywhere and i've been stuck w. the same answer....?....if you know the meaning of CAMPOS...please tell me something...CAMPOS>>>thanks...

I agree with Melissa . The Campos she mentions, as well as the English "camp" are derived from the Latin "Campus" meaning a place for games, athletic practice, military drills, etc
Of course you are welcome to go by the Greek meaning: Kampos was a mythological sea monster. Hippocampus -- the sea horse -- is derived from Kampos ["hippos" (horse) + "kampos" (sea monster)].
