I automatically associate Taya (this spelling) with Star Trek, as it was used on both Deep Space Nine and Voyager as a legitimate name by two different species.
Outside of ST, however, Taya sounds trendy and made up, and I dislike it, sorry.
But I'd definitely spell it either Taya or Téa (link: Tea). Probably Téa in RL, as in that spelling it's a form of Thea, and therefore has more legitimacy and substance for me. Teha and Teah are non-intuitive spellings; I wouldn't have known how to pronounce them if you hadn't told me.
