I think it's a beautiful name but don't like that it can't be shortened easily-it's either "ass" or "asp" which is just awkward. That's the only downside to the name.

As an aside, I've always thought that about the name April. It's a pretty name but if you try to shorten it, you'd be saying, "hey Ape!" Not good!! LOL! :)

I can see some problems with the "ass" thing, but I really like the name. I don't think that it would be that big of a deal.

it sounds like a tree, like nameing someone birch or pine, i don't like it
