I actually like it. Some of the virtue names are too out there for me (Verity, Amity, even Patience), but this is one is nice without being too common imo. I actually know two women named Mercy. One is Filipino and has a daughter named Faith. :) The other is from Nigeria, her mn is Fatima, and is a good friend of mine, very sweet and extremely smart so I have good assocations with the name, too. Edited to add: My good friend Mercy, since she's been in the U.S., has had a hard time with people thinking her name is Marcy. lol
And also she's a nurse so people constantly think it's cute to call her Nursie Mercy. Luckily she has a sense of humor. :b

Not for me at all.

For some reason, Mercy seems quite negative to me. Names like Hope and Charity seems to emphasise positive values, whereas Mercy makes me think of someone who has a knife at your throat, then decides not to use it. Perhaps I'm just weird :-)I do love Mercia.

I love it! It's been on my own list for a while now.

I don't care for it. I like the virtue name Patience.

I actually like it a lot, but I couldn't use it because it's very close to my own name, Merry.

I think it's okay. Wouldn't use it though. It reminds me of Fry from Futurama, for some reason.
