What do you think of the name Mairwen with the nn Mair?

I like Mair or Maire but on it's own, Mairwen (and most wen names) remind me of LOTR which I don't really like unofortunatlyAlice

I really like it pronounced "Myre-win", but I see a lot of people mispronouncing it. I really like it, though Mair sounds too much like "mare," another name for a female horse.

It's excellent! Very pretty! It doesn't need a nn, but Mair is good if you really want one. (A nickname, that is.) Just make sure no one tries to call her Wendy. Ugh.-------------------------------------------------

Some people call me Mair and it drives me nuts. The name Mairwen is not very good either.
