Haley/Hailey/Hayley
Awhile ago I posted some names that my friend who is pregnant and due in late December is considering. Since then, her and her husband have decided on:Haley Marie (Marie is her and her mom's middle name) for a girl
Logan Tate (Tate is her maiden name) for a boyThe question that I have for everyone is, which spelling of Haley do you prefer/think is more common, as she does not want her daughter to have to spell her name every time someone asks? I prefer Haley, but the other spellings that they are considering are, Hayley or Hailey.

I like Haley the best. Less letters, less clutter. My daughter's name is Haley, and I've really had no one mispronounce her name. They do spell it incorrectly (mostly using Hailey...no one has ever used Hayley) sometimes. Anya

I prefer the spelling Hayley. And I think Logan Tate sounds fantastic!Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

I like the spelling Hailey the best. Hayley is also nice but Hailey looks better to me. I knew someone named Haley and people sometimes mispronounced her name as Hallie.

I think Hailey's the most common, but I prefer Hayley. Besides being less common imo, it's also the original spelling, and it simply looks more balanced to me than Hailey. Haley really looks incomplete to me, so I don't like it.

My spelling of choice would be Haylie, but the name isn't my style and is much too popular imo._____________________________________________________________________"Heaven's not a place that you go when you die, it's that moment in life when you actually feel alive."Elinor

I think Haley is the most straightforward, but she'll still more than likely have to spell it for everyone. I have a friend with a little girl named Haley (mn Elizabeth) and she said they spelled it that way so it would be easier, but she says everyone spells it a TON of different ways anyway. :b And her little girl is only 5 years old, so she has that to look forward to for years, I guess. My name is Heather so I never had that problem, so it just seems like a bigger hassle to me, I guess. I don't really love Haley Marie or Logan Tate, but they're not bad by any means. Good luck to your friend. :)

I personally prefer the spelling of Haley to any of the other spellings. I think that right now Hailey is more popular ... according to the popularity charts for the past few years anyway, but I have met more Haleys than any other spelling. I don't particularly like the name no matter what the spelling, though.

I think on popularity lists, Hailey comes out on top. But I see Haley, Haylee and Hayley much more often than Hailey, oddly enough.
