I like Aria better. Ara is more plain, and such. Aria has a better sound to it.

I prefer Aria, Ara is a fragment, and it reminds me of "arid."
A is for Amy who fell down the stairs, B is for Basil assaulted by bears, C is for Clara who wasted away, D is for Desmond thrown out of a sleigh... !!!!!!!!!! - Tobias, Jesse, Wyatt, Shane, Preston, Maverick, Rebel, Gibson, Shiloh, and Timber

Ara is pretty, and even though it's very short and seems a tiny bit incomplete I prefer it over Aria.

Ara looks and sounds incomplete next to Aria, and while I don't care for either name, Aria gets my vote.

Aria, though I really like both. However, I prefer Ara as a nn for Arabella, hence Aria's win.

I like Ara better. Aira sounds like some organ in your body. Maybe I got it from science class.. I like Ara a lot. Do you know anything about this name?

Ara means various things, but mostly it is Latin for "Altar" and is the name of a constellation, See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ara: )

Ara doesn't sound finished. Aria is nms, but I can see it as a name. I know someone whose little sister is named Aria, so that might be influencing me. Where is Ara from? Sometimes if I know the history of a name, then it's easer to accept it. How else to explain my love for the name Io?

I find Ara too short, so for that reason I prefer Aria. I also see more meaning in Aria, and it's very pretty. Neither is quite substantial enough for my style though :-)_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that
