I adore the name, but only if pronounced the French way, as you have it. It reminds me of 19th century characters ina novel, living in garrets and falling in love with Eugene ("oo-ZHEN"), Honore' ("on-or-AY") or Auguste ("aw-GOOST"). Combinations:Berthe Clemence
Berthe Therese ("tehr-EZ")
Berthe Marguerite
Berthe Germaine ("zhehr-MEN")
Berthe Honorine
Berthe Lucienne
Berthe Josephine
Berthe Manon (for that extra garret-y feeling)
Berthe Clothilde
Berthe Mathilde
Berthe Pascale
Berthe Martine
Berthe Amelie
Berthe Hortense (it's not every day that I get to use lovely "or-TAHNS")
Berthe Colombe
Berthe Louise
Berthe Eugenie
Berthe Ursule (I have a thing for bears if you didn't notice)
Berthe Eulalie
Berthe Aurore / Aurora
Berthe Sebastienne

I actually kind of like Berthe with that prn, but everyone I know would say it like Bertha, and that prn is not pleasing to my ears.Caoimhe and Niamh are nice, but to be honest, they have such a following here on BtN that I am growing rapidly tired of them. Is Beibhinn prn like Bevin? I don't like it.

Berthe CallaCaoimhe is my favourite girls name and has been for a bit over a year. It is strong, beautiful and unusual and looks so pretty written down, has a great meaning and has great nn potential with Evie. I love it.
Niamh was my sister's name, and one of my favourites. Beautiful, has a great story behind it and like Caoimhe, it looks really pretty written and said aloud.
Beibhinn isn't a favourite of mine, but it is nice.
