Celia and Maris
A burst of revelation in the Top Three Combos right now thread a ways down made me realize that at this very minute, they're my top two girls names.I most have a steady group from which I pick my "top" names for things like that, but unlike with my top two boys names, I haven't really felt strongly about any particular girl's name in a while. Maris and Celia have crept up on me. I've been using Maris for a bit now, and I've had Cecelia on my list for a while. Celia has been on my PNL for a few years, but I stopped using it as I picked up Cecelia, but Celia just fits my style better, I think. So um to get to the point :)
MN suggestions? I have these for now, but I'm not set on anything.(Maris prn with the stress on the first syllable like MER-iss, not like Marissa without the A!)
Maris Lavinia
Maris Penelope
Maris Persephone*
Maris Helena
Maris Antonia(Celia prn as SEEL-ya or SEEL-ee-a depending on how quickly I say it.)
Celia Persephone
Celia Evadne*
Celia Delphine
Celia Pandora
Celia Idony*My faves right now, but I am open to suggestions. Please and thank you. :)

I Like Maris Helena and Célia Delphine. In French Célia is a classy old names that becomes quiet popular there. We pronunce it "Say -Lia" but The "Say" sound is close : Cé. Anyway great choice!

HMMMMMMI know youre pissed at me for being a smartass and all but I couldnt help myself on this one. Do you have a greek mythology fetish or what. Theyre pretty names but I wouldnt want to name a child after Pandora. Every thouht about Persephone Delphine? Pretty and unique. Or Helena Antonia? Take it for what it is. I really dont like Celia or Maris.

I'm not pissed at you for being a smartass. I don't really care if you don't like the name choices of people on here. I regularly don't, and I say so, too, but I'm not an ass about it. I can be a smartass, sure, but I'm not a rude newbie who stirs up trouble.Fetish? Hardly. I'm an English major who is going to grad school for either the Classics or Renaissance Lit. Call it a fetish if you want, but whatever.Persephone Delphine is pretty, but I like shorter names as FNs. Helena is moving up the popularity charts too quickly for my taste, but that is a pretty combo, thanks.+ See, how hard was that? This was a perfectly acceptable reply (without the judgment about my "fetishes", but hey, it's an improvement over your other posts).

Maris - reminds me of Niles' wife on Frasier. Also Roger Maris. As combos go, Maris Lavinia sounds cool.Celia - gorgeous. I love it. I'd go with Celia Evadne.

I adore Maris and Celia. They're absolutely gorgeous together, too. They'd make a terrific sibset. All your combos are very nice, but my favorites are Maris Lavinia, Maris Persephone; Celia Pandora and Celia Idony. Beautiful. Some random suggestions I'm just throwing out:Celia Rosamund
Celia Beatrice
Celia LenoreMaris Viola
Maris AdelaideAnd I'm otherwise drawing a blank. Sorry I couldn't come up with more.

My favorite use of Maris is in the combo Stella Maris...meaning "star of the sea". But using Maris as a fn, I think I like Maris Gretchen. For Celia, ummmmm, how about Celia Emmaline?
