Emerson
I am currently starting to like the name Emerson a lot, but only on a boy. What are your opinions? Male or female? Also, I like Levi and Imogen a lot now, too. WDYT?

I don't mind Emerson on a boy but I love it on a girl!
I quite like Levi. I've never really liked Imogen, though...

I prefer Emerson on a girl. Levi is great and on my list of names for baby #2. Imogen is also lovely.

For me Emerson is best suited for a boy. I get tired of seeing it used as a girl's name. It's a nice name but not one I would use. The Canadian group Emerson Drive comes to mind when I hear it.Levi and Imogen are both nice names. Levi sounds like a strong name for a boy, and Imogen makes me think of a girl who can stand up on her own and is tough but feminine when she wants to be.

I like it on a girl. Levi is NMS, Imogen is growing on me.

I've recently become obsessed with Emerson too! It is definately a male name for me, but I'd still use Emmy as a nickname.

either, esp. female...and I love Levi, but don't like sight or sound of Imogen.

Love Emerson for a boy :)
when I hear Levi I think of jeans, but it's a cool name.
Imogen is gorgeous but is coming back in a big way. It's all the rage in the UK at the moment. Next Emily - a graceful name becoming trendy?

I love the name Emerson, and on a boy only as well. It's actually a family name for me, so that's a plus.Levi & Imogen are very nice : )

I love it for a boy! I sort of like it for a girl, but prefer a boy. It's on my offical list.

All male to me. I think it's a nice name, though it's not a favorite of mine. It's handsome.Levi's not my style, but I love Imogen. Gorgeous.

I think it suits a male okay, although it's kind of surnamey. I find it very unappealing on a female (though since it sounds like Alison and Emily, it's not as jarring as other surnames can be).Levi: I associate "jeans" and "archaic"
Imogen: nice antique name.

It's works for both boy and girl. It sounds cute, I like it.

Male, male, male. If Emerson's a masculine nod to Ralph Waldo, it's a neat middle name (fn works, too, but I'd rather it in the mn spot). If it's a feminine nod to the Em- trend, it's painful, awkward, and unflattering.Levi's very handsome. I'm pretty alone here in that I far prefer Imogene to Imogen. The latter just doesn't appeal to me at all.Array
